vuo.select

These nodes are for routing data and events through a composition.

To choose between different parts of the composition to execute, use a Select Output node.

To choose between different data and event sources, use a Select Input node.

To coalesce events from different sources, use a Select Latest node.

To block events from one source while letting events from another source pass through, use a Hold Value node from the vuo.data node set.

Example compositions:

• Rotate One Square At A Time: Displays a series of squares, then goes through them one by one and changes their rotation.
• Select Gradient: Selects one of two gradients to display, depending on whether the mouse was most recently moved to the left or to the right.
• Show Arrow Presses: Shows a visual indication of when you press and release an arrow key.

Nodes:

• Select Input (2) (vuo.select.in.2): Routes the selected input port’s data to the output port.
• Select Input (8) (vuo.select.in.8): Routes the selected input port’s data to the output port.
• Select Input (Boolean) (vuo.select.in.boolean): Routes the selected input port’s data to the output port.
• Select Event Input (Boolean) (vuo.select.in.boolean.event): Routes the selected input port’s event to the output port.
• Select Event Input (2) (vuo.select.in.event.2): Routes the selected input port’s event to the output port.
• Select Event Input (8) (vuo.select.in.event.8): Routes the selected input port’s event to the output port.
• Select Latest (2) (vuo.select.latest.2): Routes the data from whichever input port received an event to the output port.
• Select Latest (8) (vuo.select.latest.8): Routes the data from whichever input port received an event to the output port.
• Select Output (2) (vuo.select.out.2): Routes the input data to the selected output port.
• Select Output (8) (vuo.select.out.8): Routes the input data to the selected output port.
• Select Output (Boolean) (vuo.select.out.boolean): Routes the input data to the selected output port.
• Select Event Output (Boolean) (vuo.select.out.boolean.event): Routes an event to the selected output port.
• Select Event Output (2) (vuo.select.out.event.2): Routes an event to the selected output port.
• Select Event Output (8) (vuo.select.out.event.8): Routes an event to the selected output port.
